Hong Kong Semiconductor Industry Council

 


Introduction

The Hong Kong Semiconductor Industry Council (HKSIC) was formed in June 2004 in order to better represent the collective views of the semiconductor industry. Working under the umbrella of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, the HKSIC committee members are from five major sectors.

Objectives and role of the HKSIC:

  • Act as the industry's Voice
  • Promote Industry's Voice
  • Gather market information on new technologies, trends, etc.
  • Provide a forum and liaison point for the industry
  • Provide information and/or recommendations to the industry and government on topics of interest or importance related to semiconductors
  • Support and assist in building communications and links between the Government, Industry and academia
  • Develop training and personnel for the industry
  • Create a clustering effect to attract more investment/corporations in Hong Kong for the industry
